Mailing Lists

Our troop uses email to communicate among members and with families. Managing such a large list of email addresses and ensuring that everyone has a current list, are arduous tasks. To simply communications, the troop uses Google Groups as a mailing list.

Below is a list of general mailing lists for the troop To be added to a mailing list, contact Mr. Buckingham.

Troop 380 Mailing Lists

• Troop 380 Committee Mailing List – bsa380-committee@googlegroups.com

Once you have been added to a mailing list, simply email the address above to send a message to all members.

Known Limitations

We have found that some Google accounts are configured such that they cannot be added to a Google Group, or to be invited to a Google Group. To check these settings on your Google account, follow these steps:

• From a web browser, visit https://groups.google.com/my-groups.  (Do this from a tablet or a computer.  This may not be available using a phone.)
• If prompted, login with your Google account.
• Click on the “gear” on the upper right, and select Global Settings.
• Make sure that the “Invite me to their groups” box is checked.  (see below)
• Contact Mr. Buckingham so that he can invite you to the group.
