We are back to planning a trip to Camp Loucon in Leitchfield, Ky.   The price per person is dependent on the number of attendees so we need a really good count of who is still interested in attending with the change in venue.

Its roughly $40 per person if 20 people attend (including the adults).   We can fit up to 36 scouts in 3 cabins and have 1 cabin for adult male leaders and 1 for adult female leaders.  We also have the multipurpose area as well.   I am checking with the PLC to see if they can offset any of the cost.

Right now we have 19 people confirmed with 13 Scouts and 6 adults.  If going to Loucon instead of CCC changes your ability to go please go into the sign up genius and update your RSVP.  If you plan to go and have not yet signed up please also go into the sign up genius and update your RSVP.  Sign up will close this Sunday so we can get a final head count and finalize the reservation to Loucon.

What will we do?  Meal Patrols will get challenges for each meal and will compete to be voted the best meal of the camp out.  Adults will do the voting.  The challenges will be given out 2 weeks prior to the camp out to allow for planning but will include potentially special ingredients, certain cooking methods, themes to incorporate, etc….. think of it like an iron chef style competition.  Lets see which patrol can reign supreme in the camping cooking arena! 

Other things to do….. bring your board games and lets enjoy the down time sharing fellowship and battling it out over card games, trivia, etc…  There is also all the regular stuff available at CCC such as hiking, BB court, gaga pit, etc….  This is a chill campout where you can work on merit badge requirements for camping or cooking and build that new patrol bond.
