Service Project: Fr Jeff’s 20th Anniversary

St Patrick’s Pastor and our Chartering Organization’s Leader, Fr Jeff Shooner will be celebrating his 20th Anniversary as a Priest on Sunday, December 15th.  There will be a normal 11am Mass, followed by a lunch downstairs in St Patrick’s gymnasium.

As Fr Jeff is an Eagle Scout and lifetime supporter of Scouting, the Parish has asked us to support this celebration by setting up a fire pit outside of the gym on the sidewalk and assisting kids and adults with roasting marshmallows as a treat before or after enjoying lunch.  We will be doing this with some of the Cub Scouts as well from our Pack 380.  Rick Paulin and myself will be there early to make sure that everything is set up and ready to go after Mass.  We just need volunteers to help with the actual roasting.

I am looking for 2 adults per hour, as well as 4 scouts per hour to help with this.  This may seem like more than necessary, but there may be multiple Parish children around and we want to make it as safe of an environment as possible.  The Parish has asked that any Scouts attending the Mass be in uniform during the Mass as well as when working around the firepit.

You will be eligible for 2 hours of service for assisting with this event.
